Chiral vortical effect for vector fields

نویسندگان

چکیده

We consider the photonic vortical effect, i.e., difference of flows left- and right-handed photons along vector angular velocity in rotating medium. Two alternative frameworks to evaluate effect are considered, both which have already been tried literature: first, standard thermal field theory and, alternatively, Hawking-radiation-type derivation. In our earlier attempt compare two approaches, we found a crucial factor 2 difference. Here, revisit problem, paying more attention details infrared regularizations. find out that introduction an infinitesimal mass brings ways evaluating chiral into agreement with each other. Some implications, on theoretical phenomenological sides, mentioned.

(Non)-renormalization of the chiral vortical effect coefficient

We show using diagramtic arguments that in some (but not all) cases, the temperature dependent part of the chiral vortical effect coefficient is independent of the coupling constant. An interpretation of this result in terms of quantization in the effective 3 dimensional Chern-Simons theory is also given. In the language of 3D, dimensionally reduced theory, the value of the chiral vortical coef...

construction of vector fields with positive lyapunov exponents

in this thesis our aim is to construct vector field in r3 for which the corresponding one-dimensional maps have certain discontinuities. two kinds of vector fields are considered, the first the lorenz vector field, and the second originally introced here. the latter have chaotic behavior and motivate a class of one-parameter families of maps which have positive lyapunov exponents for an open in...

Concurrent vector fields on Finsler spaces

In this paper, we prove that a non-Riemannian isotropic Berwald metric or a non-Riemannian (α,β) -metric admits no concurrent vector fields. We also prove that an L-reducible Finsler metric admitting a concurrent vector field reduces to a Landsberg metric. In this paper, we prove that a non-Riemannian isotropic Berwald metric or a non-Riemannian (α,β) -metric admits no concurrent vector fi...

Testing the chiral magnetic and chiral vortical effects in heavy ion collisions.

We devise a test of the chiral magnetic and chiral vortical effects (CME and CVE) in relativistic heavy ion collisions that relies only on the general properties of triangle anomalies. We show that the ratio R(EB) = J(E)/J(B) of charge J(E) and baryon J(B) currents for CME is R(EB)(CME) → ∞ for three light flavors of quarks (N(f) = 3), and R(EB)(CME) = 5 for N(f) = 2, whereas for CVE it is R(EB...

Semi Chiral Vector Multiplet

We describe a new 1 + 1 dimensional N = (2, 2) vector multiplet that naturally couples to semi chiral superfields in the sense that the gauged supercovariant derivative algebra is only consistent with imposing covariantly semi chiral superfield constraints. It has the advantages that its prepotentials shift by semi chiral superfields under gauge transformations. We also see that the multiplet r...
